"Any man can be a Father but it takes someone special to be a dad"- Anne Geddes

I am preparing her to be a bride,
but I am not the groom.

I am preparing her to be a mother,
but I am neither the husband nor the child.

I am preparing her to be a Godly woman,
but I am not a woman.

How am I preparing her?
By being her Dad, a man of integrity and love in her life.
I am trying to be the man against whom she can evaluate the character of other men to come. -unknown

I hope one day that Greg will truly know how much the three of us love and need him. Father's Day shouldn't be the only day that we tell our Daddies how proud and thankful we are for them.

So many hats so little time.....

Is the circus hiring?? I truly believe that being a mom is like trying to perfect the hardest balancing act ever. I feel like when I try to strive to be the best in any area (mom, wife, housekeeper, friend, etc..) I then fall short everywhere else. I honestly don't think that there is enough hours in the day to give every area my best. I am constantly trying to find the right balance of time to devote to each area.
What if we actually did everything that was daily recommended.....
8 glasses of water per day
30 minutes of daily exercise
30 minutes of reading to our children
brush twice a day
floss once per day
eating the right amounts per the food pyramid
etc......
Is it really realistic for us to some how manage everything??

These are a few of my favorite things....

Things that make my heart happy....

fresh garbage bag in the can,

wiped off washer and dryer,

clean bathroom rugs,

singing with the girls,

cooking a meal my family ALL loves,

snuggling in bed,

and hearing them say "I love you, momma"

What makes your heart happy??
